A District Supervisor is a position on the Operations team reporting to the District Manager within the Brand Standards Business Unit.  The primary focus of this position is to support the District Manager in organizing, motivating and leading a highly calibrated Quality Management Specialist team.    

 

The District Supervisor must possess an in-depth understanding of the Brand Standards Business, Steritech protocols and procedures and specific customer brand requirements to ensure a high level of service to the client and to facilitate excellent communication to the regional team.   The District Supervisor position provides the necessary training and development to become a District Manager.  In this role, the District Supervisor will manage a team of 4-8 Specialists and maintains a 50% auditing route.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operational performance of the team.  
  • Makes changes as needed to improve service, increase efficiency, manage costs and meet business goals.
  • Maintains assigned client certifications and performs assessments as required.
  • Serves as a role model for employees by maintaining professional standards.
  • Supports the hiring and training process of new Specialists and ensures they are competent to perform job duties.
  • Provide performance and career development feedback to team.
  • Complete a minimum of 180 hours of audits per quarter.
  • Expeditiously respond to complaints and requests for information.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Food Code, Good Manufacturing Practices, and specific customer brand requirements.
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Establish and maintain effective professional and consultative relationships at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Maintain the confidence of key client contacts in order to retain and increase the volume and quality of business allocated to Steritech.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a Quality Management Specialist.
  • Minimum of a 3.5 Performance Rating for Annual Review.
  • CP-FS credentialed as established by the National Environmental Health Association
  • Successful completion of the Training and/or OnBoarding Career Path track.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • The ability to travel extensively to meet with customers and Specialists.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Meet the following Motor Vehicle Record (Drivers Abstract) requirements (Offers are contingent upon verification of MVR checks):
    • A valid driver's license for the last three years
    • Maximum of three (3) violations and no major violations in the last three (3) years.  Major violations include DWI, DUI, Hit & Run, Homicide, Assault, Suspension or Revocation or License, Reckless Driving
    • No more than 3 violations in past 3 years with no at-fault accidents
    • No more than 2 violations in past 3 years with one at-fault accident
    • No more than 2 at-fault accidents in the past 3 years with no violations  

 

Preferred

  • Previous management experience preferred, experience managing remote employees a plus.
